Data-Driven Storytelling Workshop at Robert College

This afternoon was a genuinely meaningful experience for me. I spent time with 11th and 12th grade students at Robert College discussing why data-driven storytelling is important today, how purpose and context influence what we measure, and the various methods we use to gather data — from scraping and data mining to APIs and OSINT. We also examined interactive approaches to visualization and discussed why video has become a central medium for telling data-driven stories, not just a tool for journalism. Their curiosity and questions throughout the session made the whole afternoon even more enjoyable.

Many thanks to Andrew Richards and the teaching team for the warm welcome.

This photo is a memory with the Bobcat mascot with a little help from Gemini 🙂
